The new rooftop bar at The Art Gallery of Western Australia is a hidden gem fusing art, entertainment and the dreamy city skyline. Head here for something a little different as you ignite all your senses with an open-air sculpture walk, gallery spaces and food and beverages with a distinct WA taste.
Hadiqa
The lush green vibes at Hadiqa are unmatched. Inspired by the Arabic word for “garden”, this Middle Eastern oasis provides a welcome escape from the concrete jungle surroundings of Perth. The intimate open-air, plant-peppered rooftop space boasts stunning city views, with a simple yet inspired interior. Take the stairs to the top, find the big, illuminated sign at The Print Hall, and you’ve made it to Bob’s Bar — a bar named after everyone’s favourite beer fiend of a prime minister, Bob Hawke. Fitting, considering Bob’s Bar is your rooftop go-to for all things craft beer. Just like most good craft beer serving joints, they serve up some fine beer food (read: pizzas and burgers) too.
The Standard
Light, bright, and breezy are the words that come to mind when you think of The Standard. While it may not sit at the top of a skyscraper, what it lacks in height, it makes up for in greenery and atmosphere. Take the stairs to the deck above the garden courtyard and you’ll be rewarded with a stunning view of the CBD and the bustle of Northbridge below. This is a spot best enjoyed for post-office drinks, so make sure you test their signature cocktails and Mediterranean-inspired bites while you’re at it.
