We’re pretty lucky to have some of the world’s most postcard-perfect coastal views at our doorstep, and what better way to soak them up than at a super cute beachside café? We’ve rounded up Perth’s best coastal cafés to add to your list, so you no longer need to search for “cafés near me”. All you need to do is pick a perch in the sunshine and dig into a wholesome brunch, boozy cocktail, and a perfectly brewed cuppa.
Canteen Trigg

It doesn’t get more coastal than Canteen.
Right on the sandy shores of Trigg Beach, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a day this cute little café isn’t packed to the brim with walkers and sea breeze seekers — and for good reason.
Aside from the calming, beach shack style fit-out, casual seating, and million-dollar views, the menu is spot on. Plus, for the most part, it’s pretty healthy with a heap of whole foods, healthy bowls, and vegan options.
The Little Bay

The Little Bay is about as picture-perfect as the sparkling view over Watermans Bay.
The gorgeous beachside café is constantly abuzz with activity, and it’s no surprise, as it’s one of the most Instagram-worthy coastal spots we’ve ever seen. Think bohemian furniture meets Hamptons style with crisp whites, swing chairs, stone tables, and plenty of sunshine. The food and drink? Just as good — plus, your fluffy friends are welcome.
Bib & Tucker

It’s no secret that Bib & Tucker is one of Perth’s most popular beachside joints, so what’s all the hype about?
Here, you can expect mouthwatering, fresh local produce packed with flavour, super friendly staff, and a rustic-chic interior. Plus, magical views over the turquoise waters of Leighton Beach in Fremantle. You get the picture.
The Beach House

If you live north, this is your next coastal oasis.
As soon as you walk into The Beach House, you’ll be graced with an abundance of lush green plants and ocean-facing views. The menu features all the usual suspects — smashed avocado, salt and pepper squid, steak, and naturally, fish, and chips. Its simplicity is what makes it loveable, no fancy touches are necessary. But the real seller is the location. Catch a sunrise through the floor-to-ceiling windows and you’ll never want to leave.
The Shorehouse

Perched on the doorstep of the Indian Ocean, a hop, skip and jump north from Cottesloe Beach, The Shorehouse is all about good vibes and flavour. With their iconic Instagram-worthy yellow and white striped umbrellas, groovy white furniture, and spectacular seaside views, you’ll be getting more than just a good profile picture.
The restaurant is one of Perth’s trendiest brunch locations, where you can watch the waves roll in as surfers take to the tides and indulge in their offerings of homemade granola and rhubarb compote, smashed pumpkin toast with cherry tomatoes, goat’s curd and poached eggs or Belgian waffles with blueberries, banana and cumin caramel. One word: YUM! You can thank us later!
Yelo

We know you’ve probably heard it so many times by now, but Yelo truly is one of the best coastal cafés in Perth.
If you’re searching for a healthy pit stop on your morning coastal walk, look no further. You’ll find plenty of fresh, wholesome food to chow down on at this jam-packed corner store and the refreshing smoothies pair perfectly. You’re also guaranteed to meet plenty of adorable fluffy friends upon entrance.
Sistas
It may look like your average run-of-the-mill coastal café from the outside, but the food and coffee at Sistas is a pleasant surprise of deliciousness.
An absolute favourite for locals and blow-ins alike, it’s a necessary pull-in for brunch, lunch, or impromptu coffee. And they’ve also more recently opened up shop at Mindarie Marina! Food-wise, all your classic breakfast icons are featured, along with some pretty tasty lunch burgers and feel-good summer salads.
Oceans 27

Earning a reputation for its oh, so, aesthetic cocktails, Oceans 27 is a balmy evening dream and an ideal girl’s brunch hangout.
On the shores of Alkimos, the views are stunning and the menu is modern Australian, fusing European and Asian flavours. Weekends are characterised by live music performers and DJs who play the ultimate soundtrack for your afternoon drinks.
Island Market

We’re partial to a coastal view — especially when it’s panoramic over Trigg Beach — and we know you are too. The coastline of soft snowy sand and aqua waters is renowned as one of Perth’s most popular surfing beaches — popular with locals and visitors alike.
Whether you’re down for a croissant, fig and fennel toast, waffles with raspberries and berry curd, or a smoked salmon omelette, there’s something sure to tickle your fancy. And while you’re at it, why not pair brunch with a morning cocktail? The Cheeky Bellini, Bubbly Colada or Queen Mary will give your morning ritual that extra sparkle you’re looking for.
Jaffelato
The humble jaffle, but even better.
Jaffelato is taking our jaffle love to new heights with sweet and sour gourmet jaffles on the Rockingham foreshore. This is the definition of taking something simple and making it amazing. Pair one of these bad boys with a smooth cuppa or one of their epic shakes, and you’re sorted.
Il Lido

What was once a seaside 1930s art-deco cabaret hall perched on Cottesloe Beach, is now an Italian-inspired espresso bar and restaurant — and a Perth favourite! The restaurant name is rather fitting, as the Italian translation of Il Lido is literally, “the beach” and draws on the site’s heritage as the Lido Cabaret.
As a homage to the Italian coffee culture, early risers emerge from the Indian Ocean and blissful surroundings to enjoy the daily bake and locally roasted Mano-A-Mano coffee — the early bird really does get the worm. The juices are also delicious if you prefer to stray from a caffeine fix.
96 Express
Size is no matter at 96 Express because their tiny little café is slinging some extremely eatable food and drinks.
Head in and grab a mid-morning pick me up, then take a seat on one of the beanbags or chairs on the grass to soak in the sunshine and take in the beautiful coastline views.
Indigo Oscar

Setting up shop in the former Indiana Tearooms, Indigo Oscar has summer covered with impeccable Cottesloe vistas and a superb bites menu to top it all off.
The little tropical gem has made quite a name for itself already, with bold flavours the hero and fresh fruity cocktails ready to put you in vacation mode.
